The Elsie Allen Drama Department is dedicated to the power of imagination, artistic expression, and personal growth through theatre training designed to prepare students for social interaction, public productions, and the creation of original performance pieces.

The three year drama pathway begins with a first year class centered on the fundamentals of theatre including acting techniques and dramatic analysis. Second year drama students explore playwriting and advanced acting techniques through improvisation, character development, dramatic analysis, and play production. Third and fourth year students graduate to  the drama production class where they learn skills necessary to create, develop, and produce dramatic performances at Elsie Allen High through studying advanced techniques of dramatic analysis, play directing, theatrical design, and playwriting.
