Jill Libnic - Many different careers and life experiences led me to Elsie Allen. Before becoming a high school teacher, I was a professional chef and a graphic designer. Then while working as a day care teacher in an elementary school, I earned my B.A in Spanish and teaching credential from Sonoma State University.

I learned Spanish as a second language because I was passionate about becoming bilingual. I wanted to broaden my horizons and be of service. My Spanish studies, which I undertook "just for fun" turned into my career as a teacher of Spanish for Spanish Speakers. My dream to have a job where I could speak Spanish and help others has been realized at Elsie Allen. I am forever grateful to my Spanish teachers, Elsie Allen Administrators, co-workers, and students for bringing me to Elsie Allen where I strive to make a difference in the lives of young people every day.
